Where INDEX stands

Independence

INDEX is a small team of collectors. We are independent of the trade, not of the art. Here is exactly what that means, in plain terms.

Who we are. A small team of collectors who read on-chain art as culture, in a market that mostly treats it as tokens to flip. We are not neutral about the medium. We believe in it, and INDEX exists to read it through a cultural lens rather than a price one.

What we hold. The people behind INDEX are collectors. We hold work INDEX covers, including in the Canon, we keep buying it, and we sometimes sell. We are not pretending to own nothing. That skin in the medium is how we know the space at all, and a read worth having tends to come from someone who has some.

Independent of the trade. INDEX holds no inventory as a business, takes no fee on any trade, lists nothing for sale, and sells no placement. No collection can pay to be covered, verified, featured, or rated higher. There is nothing here to buy, and nothing here being sold to you.

Culture, never price. A read rates Originality, Influence, Collector Integrity, and Cultural Persistence. It never rates price, never names anything a buy, sell, or hold, and never sets a target. The wall between a cultural read and a trading call is the whole discipline, and it is what keeps a collection we hold from ever becoming a recommendation.

What this is not. INDEX is not a neutral referee, and it does not claim to be. It is a point of view, held by people who collect. Arguing with a read is the point of it, not a failure of it.

Not financial advice. Nothing here is financial advice. INDEX describes how it reads the culture. What you do with your money is yours.

We would rather tell you where we stand than pretend we stand nowhere. A read is worth trusting because the lens is consistent and the price incentive is absent, not because anyone claims to own nothing.

Read-only, always. We rate culture, never price.
